A very easy reciope, ideal for those days when you have no mood to stay in the kitchen to long 😀 just toss it in the pan, place the pan in the oven and food will magically happen 🙂

Quick Chicken Tights in a Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg boneless chicken thighs (about)
  • 1 medium yellow onion processed with the food processor
  • 1 juice of a lemon
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbps greek yoghurt
  • 3 pinches salt
  • cracked pepper
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp urfa pepper (or Aleppo pepper or chilly flakes)

Method
 

  1. Trim off any excess fat from the chicnen tights and add it to a large bowl. Process the onion in the food processor and add it to the chicken.
  2. Add the juice of 1 lemon, the tomato paste, and the greek yogurt.
  3. Add the dry spices: salt, cracked pepper, thyme, garlick powder urfa or allepo pepper or chily flakes
  4. Lastly, the dry spices to bring everything together. Season with 3-4 pinches of salt, fresh
  5. Mix it well, and if possible let this marinate for 2-6 hours, (or overnight).
  6. Before preparing, remove the chicken from the fridge and let it come to room temperature. In meantime preheat the oven to aprox 220°C ( 425°F)
  7. Pack the marinated oven tightly into a bread loaf pan
  8. Pop it into the oven for 50 mins at 220°C (425°F).
  9. Remove the chicken from the oven. Remove excess juice.
  10. Flip the chicken onto a cutting board and cut into thin slices or strips.
  11. This stays well in the fridge in an airtight lid for 4-5 days.
